Barangay MONCADO COLONY in Marawi City was named after Hilario Camino Moncado, a multi-talented Filipino leader, an avid golfer, an organizer, author of books, a pianist, a publisher, and a lecturer of humanities. H e graduated at the age of nine with honors at the College of Mystery and Psychics in Calcutta, India. Moncado was a member of the 1934 Constitutional Convention, and even ran for President in the 1946 elections against Manuel Roxas and Sergio Osmeña. In 1956, Moncado died but with his great influence towards the Filipinos some followed him and considered him a prophet. They believed that he has a power to heal.
